Visit the High Street
♫ Tuesday, September 13th, 2011There is a reason that the hotels in Edinburgh empty out in the morning: there are just so many places to see and not enough time to see them all. A great place to see many notable spots is High Street. On High Street, you can find both St. Giles Cathedral and Mary Kings Close here, both incredible landmarks any tourist of Edinburgh should take the time to visit.
St. Giles Cathedral:Beginning at 9 AM, tourists can get a good look of the inside and out of this historic cathedral. The best part: it’s absolutely free! However, if you like what you see, feel free to leave a donation. Buses 23, 27, 41 and 45 will take you here.
Mary Kings Close: April through October, you can see Mary Kings Close beginning at 10 AM. This is a really neat spot because it shows you what lies beneath City Chambers.
